APOCALYPSE, RED LIPSTICK — JAKE TRINGALI

jenny’s gonna right a wrong tonight

her mood is somber and her dress is tight

the thigh highs are laced and her mind is not right

jenny’s gonna right a wrong tonight

jenny’s gonna taste some blood tonight

her mind is a frenzy, her vision is black

a clean cut is easy if you’ve got the knack

jenny’s gonna taste some blood tonight

jenny’s gonna build a fire tonight

she steps out the door and howls wolverine

dances on the lawn and sparks gasoline

jenny’s gonna build a fire tonight

jenny’s gonna crash a car tonight

from zero to sixty in ten heartbeats

and back again quick on the burnt concrete

jenny’s gonna crash a car tonight

jenny’s gonna wreck the city tonight

she’s not sure if it’s justice or boredom or spite

with a prayer and a trigger and a skewed gunsight

jenny’s gonna wreck the city tonight

jenny’s gonna steal a good soul tonight

her mind and body have been weaponized

one more and one more and it’s genocide

jenny’s gonna steal a good soul tonight

jenny’s gonna start the apocalypse tonight

she planned her attack written in this song

she planned this atrocity to right a wrong

jenny’s gonna start the apocalypse tonight

After living in Los Angeles for many years, Jake is now back in his home city of Boston. Runs rad restaurants. Thrives in a habitat of bars, punk rock shows, and late-night adventures. His first book Poetry for the Neon Apocalypse is available on Amazon.
