Go Back To Sleep – Scott Thomas Outlar

Life is cheap.
Earth is jaded.
God is tired.
Humanity is not willing to pick up the slack.
The rope is tight.
The noose is snug.
The stool is kicked.
The neck is broken.
The crowd cheers.
The blood flows.
The heads roll.
The madness begins in earnest.
The revolution is bored.
The new wave is old news.
The television is static.
The radio is silent.
The internet is seized.
The fire has been snuffed out.
Truth is a lie.
Peace is a joke.
Empathy is a punchline.
Apathy has insomnia.
Decadence is cancer.
Corruption is in the marrow.
Bones are brittle.
Bombs are nuclear.
Lines are drawn.
Buttons are pushed.
Evolution is flawed.
Radiation runs rampant.
Mutation has won the day.
